- The particular feature of the CR500 color sensor is the distance compensation. The color is measured from two different distances with a specially configured fiber head. The distance to the object to be measured in real time can be determined from the resulting ratio of the color signals. Numerical correction of the distance enables the color sensor to operate largely independent of the distance.
