Reference photovoltaic cells that have a calibrated short circuit current are used to change the strength of specific solar simulators that are used to conduct and record measurements.
Amongst available Filtered PV Reference Cells, Konica Minolta Sensing has the most concise and dependable industry instruments (according to JIS C8904). Although it can be used as a standalone reference, the AK-110 Micro Silicon Reference Cell can also be used with an AK-100. Individually or in conjunction with another AK series instrument, the AK-110 is for tandem type (a-si/u-si) cells. These reference cells are delivered with calibration that is traceable to AIST or NREL upon request. Additionally, all Reference PV Cells in the AK series are ready to be used as soon as they are removed from the box. Use with a test recording of short circuit current (lsc) and a PT-100 temperature sensor.
