The C10749 Photon Detection Unit makes real-time measurements of the active state of gene expression in cells by using reporter assay.
Using a photomultiplier tube arranged directly above the sample chamber, the C10749 allows high- sensitivity measurement of gene expression in up to 24 samples for a maximum period of 312 days.
Because the entire detection unit itself can be installed in a thermostatic chamber where cells are cultivated, the gene expression can be monitored under the same environment as that for cell cultivation. Measured data are stored in tab-separated format that supports loading to commercially available spreadsheet software, as well as data analysis with the supplied software programmed to calculate the peaks from oscillations.
