- The Bartington Instruments Degaussing Wand is a 220V AC mains powered handheld instrument that produces an alternating magnetic field. It is used to degauss magnetic shields or any other equipment which have become magnetised over time.
- The field is produced by running an alternating current through a copper coil within the Wand. Operation is by a simple momentary-action push button power switch with a re-settable thermal trip for safety.
