Fibre Channel is a high-speed communications protocol widely used in the commercial and military avionic environments (FC-AE). It is used in setting up data link backbones of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, F-18 Hornet, etc. to provide communication between the integrated core processor and the sensors, as well as the com/nav/identification (CNI) system and the displays. The supported topology includes point-to-point, switched fabric and arbitrated loop (FC-AL) topologies.
Xgig® Secure System leverages our expertise in Fibre Channel protocol analysis and is designed specially for military applications. It supports the commonly used FC-AE protocols such as FC-AE-ASM, FC-AE-1553 and FC-AE-RDMA. It also supports both Avionic Fibre Channel class 2 and class 3 services.
