The HD8701 sound meter is a portable instrument that is easy and quick to use, recommended for measurement of industrial and civil noise. It can read noise levels in dB (A) on the large LCD display on which all
information on the operation of the instrument appears.
One second after the ignition and with a resolution of 0.1 dB, the reading digital technology gives a precise and reliable value, continuously updated, from RMS sound pressure level, with typical frequency weighting AT.
The unique range of 30 to 130 dB further simplifies the use of the instrument, because the operator must not make any changes scale.
With the keyboard you can:
- choose the response time constant with the S / F key;
- display the maximum value "MAX" and perform the "reset" of the said value "peak" with the key "RESET MAX"
- block the display on the screen with the "HOLD" key.
ignition and after pressing the RESET MAX key.
The state of charge of the battery is also displayed on the screen.
If the instrument is in measurement mode, it automatically turns off after 3 minutes of operation.
The MAX and HOLD functions deactivate the auto power-off of the instrument.
In measurement mode, the auto power off of the instrument can be disabled in moving the trigger guard in the battery compartment behind the instrument.
To guarantee the accuracy of the instrument over time, we advise you to perform calibration by the multiturn potentiometer "CAL" placed in the probe, after have mated the microphone to the HD 9102 calibrator.
