The LP..Silicon-PYRA .. pyranometer measures global solar radiation (W / m2) through the use of a silicon photodiode (400nm-1100nm).
The special geometry and the diffuser allow the pyranometer to have a field visual of 180 degrees according to the law of the cosine.
The pyranometer is designed for measuring natural sunlight. In conditions of very cloudy sky or for measurements of light reflex it is advisable to use a thermopile pyranometer (model LP PYRA 03 or LP PYRA 02).
The LP..Silicon-PYRA .. pyranometer can be used in radiation measurements SOLAR in the renewable energy sector such as solar thermal energy and solar photovoltaic energy.
The base with level LP BL (provided as accessory) can be used to facilitate the mounting e positioning on a flat surface.
The photocurrent produced by the photodiode struck by light is converted into a potential difference by the resistance of the shunt. The electrical diagram is shown in Figure 2.
