The pressure-sensing element of the explosion proof pivot seal pressure switch is a force-balanced, piston-actuated assembly sealed by an o-ring.
As with all SOR pressure switches, the travel of the piston to actuate the micro switch is only several thousandths of an inch, resulting in minimal o-ring wear. Media pressure on the area of the piston counteracts the force of the piston spring (adjustable by the adjusting nut screw) and moves the piston shaft and the force transmitter to directly actuate the electrical snap-action switching element.
Long lasting due to minimal wear
