The level of compound liquids and solids (such as powders, mixtures, granulates, etc.) contained in containers, tanks, silos, etc. is measured by height in metres. Level sensors are proposed for each type of material.
In the case of liquids, the level or height indicated is always the effective average real height of the liquid content, while in the case of solids the level or height indicated is the effective precise real height of the solid content; a height basically depends on the measuring point.
