The digestion units of the behrotest® InKjel series are equipped with powerful infrared heating. The quality and positioning of the behr infrared emitters guarantee the user identical heating phases and digestion temperatures on all sample locations.
This also applies to double row arrangement in use racks for 12 samples. The digestion glasses hang in the insert frame and do not touch the bottom of the digestion device. As a result, the digestion vessels are less susceptible to breakage than in an aluminum heating block.

This makes the behrotest® InKjel the ideal digestion system for nitrogen determination according to Kjeldahl and other high-temperature digestions. In Kjeldahl digestion, the temperature is set by the boiling point of sulfuric acid.
