MIVA® 5100 is a portable, single-channel battery-powered data collector for state control and balancing of rotating shafts. It can be used stand alone or connected to a PC.
In stand-alone mode, it acts as a handheld data collector. When connected to a PC, it can be used for inter alia balancing on the field. Multiple devices can be linked when simultaneous data collection is required at multiple measurement points, e.g. when starting or rolling out a machine.
Stand-alone mode
MIVA® 5100 is easy to use in stand-alone mode. Stand at the machine and follow the steps below:
Enter the number of measurement points
Enter the machine's identity, such as serial number or tag number
Place the sensor on a measuring point
Turn the dial to select the measurement point from the menu
Press the dial to read the selected measurement point
Repeat 1-5 for all measurement points on the machine
Data is stored on a 512 MB MMC (multimedia card) and can be analyzed later. After collecting all data, they are securely stored on the card even after you turn off the MIVA® 5100 or extend the memory card.
