MIVA® Master continuously collects and analyzes vibration data and other process data. Affected persons are given a continuous overview of machine permissions and reports over the Internet.
Optimization of the models is offered as Internet services by VIKON. Updates are made in the background without interfering with the monitoring.
A MIVA® Master system consists of the following parts:
The central unit MIVA® Master (CU) is the heart of the system. It contains the software and electronics needed to monitor, detect, diagnose and report changes in machine state. The device is tested in factory and prepared to connect to MIVA® data collection devices (MIVA Slaves). The MIVA® Master has the capacity to control 255 MIVA Slaves via an RS-485 network cable.
The MIVA® Master operating system is Embedded Windows XP. Using a 10/100 Mbps network connection, data and reports can be sent via LAN to the Internet. Wireless communication hardware over the mobile network is available as an option.
The MIVA® Slave units are used for vibration monitoring. It is delivered either with IP66 stainless steel enclosure or for mounting on DIN rail. Each device can be equipped with 1, 8 or 16 inputs for vibration signals and two RPM signals for axle speed.
