The MIVA 5100S is dual channel and can synchronize vibration and balancing measurements against two independent rotating axes. This has great advantages in balancing machines.
If more than two simultaneous measurement channels are required, multiple MIVA 5100S devices can be connected via an RS-485 cable. With 16 instruments, you can get up to 32 simultaneous channels per USB port for balancing. Speed strings necessary for balancing rotary shafts can be connected to one of the units configured as "Master". All other devices can then synchronize the measurements with the Master device. This has great advantages in balancing machines by keeping the cables of the analog vibration signals short while keeping the ability to synchronize the measurements against the same lap signal.
