- Pressuriesed water generates a noise if water flows out of a leak. The leak noise travels through the water and the pipewall and can be detected at direct contact points like valves and hydrants. The leak noise can easily be picked up and amplified by the LS 01 and it can be heard with the headphones. The LS 01 was designed by experienced staff to prelocate and pinpoint leakages in water networks and house installations. The instrument is light weigth and easy to operate. Just set the sensitivity and push a button to activate the headpones. As the high sensitive microphone operates over a frequency range from 35 Hz to more than 2000 Hz, the LS 01 can be used with all pipe materials. A fast check of valve and hydrants can be done with the short point or with 2 extensions and a whole length of 110 cm.
